Decalogue: If We’re Honest, We’re Not So Honest

This weekend we’re on the 9th commandment, “Do not tell lies about others.” Exodus 20:16. It is possible to be a godly person, someone who walks by faith, and yet feel compelled to lie? Why do we lie? Some wonder, if it is possible to tell the truth all the time? Telling the truth is more than a just a “good” and “decent” value we are called to live by. Speaking the truth at all times and living an honest life reflects God’s character and sets us free.
